This is probably something that bugs me more than any other grenade characteristic in any FPS: When the developer decides to make grenades explode the moment someone touches them.
- It isn't realistic
- It rarely takes skill. If they cook a grenade and it explodes next to you, fine. But you don't even have to do that, just throw it near their feet and they'll step on it.
- Most of the time it is complete coincidence. It'll just come flying over a hill into your face.
- There are no indicators so you don't know you are about to step on one.
- You can get stuck on teammates that prevent you from moving in a direction to get away from the grenade.
Fixes: Step 1 - Stop grenades from exploding the moment they touch. Step 2 - Add grenade indicators. Step 3 - Add a new grenade type to the Market that DOES have the ability to explode when it touches an enemy. This instant death weapon should have high PG or CPU.
I'm not against it a grenade that kills you just because it touches you. I just am getting sick and tired of instant death at the hands of anyone who noob chucks a grenade when they are close to death or coming over a hill at the beginning of the game -- just because it touched me.
Knives don't even kill the moment they touch. You have to touch a scout with three knives to kill them, but it only takes a touch of one grenade to kill anyone. You can improve the damage of your weapons - why not have to improve the damage of grenades? Start them weak, then make them strong enough to one hit kill. I'm just throwing out ideas here on how to fix grenades - JUST STOP MAKING THEM KILL THE MOMENT THEY TOUCH. |

besides, smart ppl cook nades u wont get time to run even with an indicator tbh

Oh you checked that? Okay.
What I mean with that argument is if someone hits you with a grenade at 20 lbs of force, then you'll be stunned, but keep going. Boxers hit harder than that and hit repeatedly throughout just one round. If someone hits you with 20lbs of force with a knife -- your day is ruined.
I could understand a grenade killing you in one hit if it's fired from a grenade launcher mounted to an AR, but this grenades are just being 'tossed' not even thrown.

I'm sure there are different grenades in the game, and I'm sure I don't understand them all -- but that's completely irrelevant since my argument still stands - Not all grenades should explode just because they touched you. I said I'm okay with some grenades doing it, but the weakest, starting grenade shouldn't. |
